Access to Computer Labs / Media Center

Computer Lab facilities are available where students may complete and/or practice skills and assignments for the class.  Students are welcome to use the university computer labs during regular hours of operation.  Labs are located in the Science Building in Rooms 7* and 13 as well as in Room 221 of Carpenter Hall.  Students may contact the course lab assistant for information regarding both general and assisted lab hours.  Some of the labs are used for courses and may not be available for general access at times.  Besides the general access labs, you have access to the Department of Education Media Center during evening and weekend hours.  Please click here to read the guidelines for use of the Media Center.

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer (Version 5 or higher): Click here to download free version of Internet Explorer 6 :  This link will take you to a Microsoft site where you can choose the appropriate version of Internet Explorer for your computer.  Downloading Internet Explorer will take alot of time if you are using a telephone connection to the Internet...thus, if you want to download this file, it might be best to do so late at night...while you are sleeping!

 

 

 

 

 

Campus Software

Currently, all of the required software for this course with the exception of Inspiration – which is available in the Department of Education Media Center – is installed on computers at the University.  The University is perpetually in the process of installing, experimenting with, and field testing new network tools and procedures. Some of the tools described in the syllabus/website may or may not be available during the course.
