Important things I have learned about FrontPage

  1. If I open and modify a non-native document (such as a Word document, an Excel spreadsheet, or a PowerPoint presentation), I must choose SAVE AS and manipulate my location so that I am TRULY saving  my work to the right place!!!  BE CAREFUL TO NOT SAVE MODIFICATIONS TO THE FRONTPAGE TEMPORARY DIRECTORY...
  2. I will NEVER change the name or location of the index page.
  3. To capture a video or sound clip for use in a FrontPage web, first you must make sure that the video and/or sound clip is compatible with FrontPage -- so look for avi files for videos and wav files for sound.  Once you have located the file you want, right click on its source, choose "Save target as" ... and then save the video or sound clip to the appropriate folder. -- Remember, you need to create a Sounds folder and a Video folder in which to store your clips

Important things I have learned about transferring things to mediacenter06

  1. If I see an arrow in my document or folder such as what you see in the screen shot below, then you have NOT really saved a real document -- you have simply created a shortcut (link) to that document.  GO BACK and look for you webfolio (in this case) within the My Document My Webs folder -- and then do copy/paste.
