Creating a New FrontPage Web:
Ø Open up Microsoft FrontPage through the Programs tab under the Start Menu
Ø Go to the top left corner and click on the File tab and click the New option, thereby revealing another side window in which New Web should then be selected.
Ø
One Page Web is highlighted as the default setting in the
new pop up window. Go over to
Options on the left side of the window so that you can rename it C:\LastName_Webfolio
and then hit enter.
Opening an Existing Web:
Ø Find your existing Webfolio.
Ø Double-click on your Webfolio and in the popup window search for a web page named Index.
Ø Double-click on the Index page and look for the Microsoft FrontPage icon next to the Printer icon on the toolbar.
Ø
This icon allows you to edit your Website using Microsoft
FrontPage.
Inserting a New Page Into Your Web:
Ø Go to the top left corner and click on the File tab and click the New option, thereby revealing another side window in which New Page should then be selected.
Ø Or you can click on the New Page icon that is right underneath the File tab
Ø
Or by right clicking on LastName_Webfolio underneath
the heading Folder List, which on the left hand of the
screen in between Views & the Page that you are working on,
and select the New Page option.
Creating A New Folder in Your Web:

Folder List, which on the left hand of the screen in between Views
& the Page that you are working on, and select the New Folder
option and then rename the folder.
Inserting A Table:
Ø
Click on the Insert Table icon on the toolbar and then
specify the number of rows and columns (ex. 3 by 2)
Ø Or click on the Table tab and go down to the second option Insert, click on that and then select the first option Table. Then specify the number of rows and columns. You can also specify the Alignment of where you want the table placed relative to the page.
Creating A Hyperlink:
Ø
Highlight whatever it is that you would like to create a hyperlink
from and then either find the Hyperlink icon on the toolbar, which looks
like a globe with a paperclip (or rather an infinity symbol), or right click on
it and choose the last option on the list that appears, which is going to be
named Hyperlink.
Ø
Then in the popup window select the page or open the folder and
designate what it is that you want linked by clicking it once so that it is
highlighted and then press OK on the bottom right of the window or just
simply hit Enter.
Inserting a Picture:
Ø
Place the cursor wherever you want to place the picture and then
go to the Insert tab. Once
clicked go down to where it says Picture and choose this option.
In the next window Clipart and From File are the options
that we are interested in. Either
click Clipart if you would like to search for images from within the
clipart gallery of FrontPage or if you would rather select one that you have
found then click From File and search through the folders in which you
might have put it in your web. Then
click to highlight and press OK or hit Enter.
Importing:
Ø
Go the File tab and search for the option Import, if
not seen right away then you may have to expand the menu.
Click on Import, and then in the popup window select either Add
File or Add Folder, and then designate the files or folders, whether
they be on your desktop or on the hardrive, that you would like to have imported
into your web.
Ø
Once designated then click OK.
If the do not immediately appear within the Folder List window
within FrontPage, then save what you have done and close and then reopen
FrontPage and they will be there.
Changing the Background Color & Font Color:
Ø
Either right click anywhere on the page and search for the option Page
Properties within the list that appears and then click on the Background
tab, which should be the second tab in the new window, or simply click on the Format
tab and search for the option Background.
Ø
Then you can either insert a picture of your own as the background
or you can change the color by going down to the second option Colors and
selecting the color you want.
Ø
Notice that here you can also change the Font color,
however this option changes the font color for the entire page(s) instead of
just one selection that is highlighted. To
change only a small selection you need to highlight it and then you can either
search for the Font Color icon on the toolbar and change it that way or
you can right click on it and choose the next to last option on the list, right
above Hyperlink, which is Font. Once selected, in the popup window
search for Color, which is right beneath Font, Font Style, and
Font Size. Font, Font Style, and
Font Size, as you can guess can also be altered here as well.
