Poias

An Argonaut and the son of Thaumacus.  His son was Philoctetes.

While Heracles lay dying on the pyre, none of his men could bring themselves to light it.  Poias happened to wander by, and he agreed to light the pyre.  In return, Heracles gave to him his bow an arrows, which Poias in his will then handed down to his son Philoctetes.
