SthenelusSthenelus is the son of Perseus and Andromeda. He married Nicippe, a daugther of Pelops. She bore him Eurystheus, Alcyone and Medusa. When his brother, Electryon, was killed by his son-in-law Amphitryon, Stheneleus claimed the throne. He then subsequently banished Amphitryon, the future father of Heracles. He invited his brothers-in-law Atreus and Thyestes into his kingdom, after they were banished from Pisa. After the death of his son Eurystheus, Atreus became ruler of Mycenae. Source(s):
