Peleus participated in the Calydonian Boar Hunt.  He was also later one of the Argonauts, joining Jason on the quest for the Golden Fleece.  Towards the end of his life, Peleus turned over his throne to his grandson Neoptolemus.  Finally, he returned to the sea with his former wife Thetis and became an immortal.
