AndromedaThe daughter of Cepheus, a king of Ethiopia. The wife of Perseus In order to appease the god Poseidon, she was chained to a rock by her father and offered to a sea monster. Perseus, who was returning from his quest to kill Medusa, saw Andromeda and saved her from the monster, which he killed. Perseus then took her as his wife. Source(s):
