Andromeda

The daughter of Cepheus, a king of Ethiopia.  The wife of Perseus

In order to appease the god Poseidon, she was chained to a rock by her father and offered to a sea monster.  Perseus, who was returning from his quest to kill Medusa, saw Andromeda and saved her from the monster, which he killed.  Perseus then took her as his wife.
