Triton

A son of Poseidon and Amhptrite.  He was a merman, with the upper body of a man but the lower body of a fish.

When the Argonauts were stranded deep inside of Libya, they gave a sacrifice to Triton.  In return, he carried their ship back to the Mediterranean.
