The Oceanids

The 3,000 beautiful daughters of Oceanus and Tethys.  Among the more famous Oceanids are:

• Metis, the first wife of Zeus
• Clymene, the wife of Iapetus
• Calypso from the Odyssey
• Doris, the wife of Nereus
• Electra, the wife of Thaumus
• Perse, wife of the sun Helios and the mother of King Aeetes and the witch Circe
• Eurynome, who with Zeus gave birth to the three Graces
• Callirrhoe, the mother of Geryon
