Acestes

A king of western Sicily.  He is a descendant of Eryx.  His mother was of Trojan lineage.  Because of this, when the Trojans were blown off course to Africa, they suggested that they could stay with Acestes in Sicily if Aeneas were dead.

When Aeneas was sailing towards Italy, those of his crew who were too tired to go on remained with Acestes.  They eventually founded the town of Acesta, named after the kind king.
