Latinus

Latinus is a mythical king of Latium, found in the Aeneid.  When Aeneas arrives in his land, the aged king welcomes him and offered Aeneas the hand of his daughter Lavinia.  She had another suitor, however, named Turnus.  Aeneas and Turnus waged war, in which Latinus refused to take sides.
