Faustulus

Faustulus was a shepherd of the king of Rome, Amulius.  While tending his flocks, he came upon two young boys, who were either being nursed by a she-wolf or his wife, who happened to be a whore.  He took the boys, whom he named Romulus and Remus, home with him, and he and his wife Larentia raised them as their own.
